Port Harcourt Study Centre Installs New Water Tanks

The Management of Port Harcourt Study Centre, National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Port Harcourt, Rivers State, has installed new water storage tanks to replace the old leaking ones that could no longer hold water.

The director of the centre, Dr. Nnenna Nancy Chukwuma, while fielding questions from NOUN News, explained that it was necessary to take the step since water could not flow into the upper floor of the centre building because the tanks were broken and could not hold water and supply the same to the numerous water closets upstairs.

Chukwuma disclosed that her experience was quite unpalatable during the last examination period because all the toilet facilities upstairs were unusable because water did not flow into them. She revealed that she had to draw the wherewithal internally to procure and install the tanks.

Expressing relief, Chukwuma said that the next round of examinations would be better in terms of availability of water and functional toilet facilities. As at the time of filing this report, all the water closets upstairs and downstairs boasted of adequate supply of water.
