NOUN Undergoes International Institutional Accreditation Exercise

The National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) has undergone international institutional accreditation by the United Kingdom Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) to put the university in the international arena.

The 2-day accreditation exercise, held on Thursday, September 7, and Friday, September 8, 2023, involved students and facilitators in a virtual meeting with the QAA on the first day. The university management members were also invited to the meeting, which was held strictly with only the invited officials.

The exercise is being driven by the Directorate of Academic Planning (DAP) under the leadership of Prof. Godwin Akper. Consequently, the Director, Africa Centre of Excellence on Technology Enhanced Learning (ACETEL), Prof. Grace Jokthan, extended her appreciation to DAP for their support and cooperation.

The centre looks forward to more support from the directorate as we look forward to the third phase of the exercise, said Jokthan. The international accreditation exercise is part of ACETEL’s DLI-7 mandate.
