The Federal Government has announced that teaching and non-teaching staff of the federal tertiary institutions in the country can now apply for its support programme, tagged Tertiary Institution Staff Support Fund (TISSF).

In an official TISSF flyer, which is set to be virtually launched on Thursday, August 14, 2024 on Microsoft Teams platform, staff were urged to apply via: https://tissf.education.gov.ng

Additionally, a memo released by the NOUN Registrar, Mr. Oladipo Ajayi on Monday, August 11, 2025 informed staff of the programme’s launch, urging them to strive by applying for the fund.

“The TISSF, a Federal Ministry of Education and TETFund initiative, is designed to enhance the well-being, financial stability and professional development of Academic and Non-Teaching Staff of Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges of Education.

“Under the scheme, each eligible staff member may receive up to Ten Million Naira (N10,000,000), subject to a cap of  33.3% of their gross annual salary,” according to the memo, signed by a Deputy Registrar, Muyiwa Harrison, on behalf of the Registrar.

A cursory look at the application portal revealed that an applicant will need to attach his/her Appointment Letter, Office ID Card, 6-month Statement of Account and Letter of a Union Membership.
