The Deputy ViceChancellor, Administration, of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Professor Shehu Usman Adamu, has commended the efforts of the Special Study Centre for the Nigerian Air Force Base, Kaduna,for the smooth conduct of the ongoing 2025_2 PenonPaper examinations exercise.
Adamu, who was at the centre on Tuesday, October 28,?2025 to monitor the ongoing process, expressed satisfaction with the high-level of organisation, discipline, and commitment demonstrated by the centre’s staff and students.
He noted that the exercise reflects NOUN’s unwavering commitment to maintaining credibility, transparency, and excellence in its examination processes across all study centres nationwide.
Responding to some of the critical issues of concern, Adamu acknowledged and assured that the University Management would give due attention to the issues raised.
He emphasised that NOUN remains committed to providing conducive environments for teaching, learning, and assessment in all its centres across the country.
The DVC, therefore, commended the staff of the centre for their dedication and display of professionalism, urging them to continue upholding the university’s core values of integrity, innovation, and inclusivity in its open and distance learning mode of delivery.
Earlier, the Acting Centre Director, Mrs. Abimbola Esther Frank, who received the DVC, briefed him on the activities of the centre and reported that the NAF Centre currently has a student population of about seven hundred (700).
However, Frank pointed out that the centre’s major challenge remains the lack of an accommodating examination hall, which often compels them to conduct examinations in multiple batches, daily.
